Oh, you got it working! Don't worry, Audra, this is supposed to happen. At least, I'm pretty sure it is.

[ By this point, Dorian thinks he has a pretty good handle on this strange new world. The creatures and technology is so vastly different from what he’s used to, but he’s nothing if not stubborn.

But it had been a bit of a learning process, so as he looks into the screen he sympathizes, because he’s certainly made that mistake before. ]

Yes, hi. We can hear you, but try holding the device a little farther back so we can see you too.

[Rapunzel jumps a little when a voice responds, even though she'd been hoping one would. It's still just so odd to her, all this technology.]

Oh! Sorry... [A sheepish little laugh as she holds the camera further out.] How's that?

[ He smiles with an encouraging nod. ] Much better. I take it you’re new to this world as well?

Yes... I guess it's pretty obvious, huh?

It's so different here from what I'm used to. [To be fair, everything outside her tower is a big change. But this is a whole new level of adjustment than what she went through with Eugene.] But what about you? What do you think of this place?

[She may not be (as) worried about people having bad intentions, not just after meeting the Snuggly Duckling patrons but also being in a place where her hair is just hair... But she's still not sure how much information she's comfortable sharing about her life, just yet.]

Only because I think we’ve all been there at some point. Some of us more recently than others.

It’s quite different from where I’m from as well. I’m used to creatures with fascinating abilities, but not quite in exchange for the abilities of people.

[ He’s also getting used to a lot of the…cosmetic changes as well. ]

You mean like the kind of fascinating abilities Pokemon have? Because really, all the animals I know [Both of them.] are very smart and talented... But the kind of powers Pokemon have are one of the things I've been trying to get used to.

Those abilities, yes. [ There’s a bit of movement as his Swablu lands on his head. ] There are some creatures back where I’m from that can do similar things, but not all of them.

And I can’t say that I’m fond of the loss of my own abilities while I’m here.

[floatinglights]

[She frowns, try though she may to hide it. She was hoping not to get into that part of things, but as long as the focus isn't on her, specifically.]

That... Does sound difficult, if you're used to doing- special things.

[ Dorian can’t help raising a curious brow. That certainly did sound like something, even if he isn’t entirely sure what.

But then, he’s no stranger to keeping secrets, and he’s been uncomfortable himself with people trying to pry. ]

…So! You’ve just arrived, yes? How have you been settling in?

[A big sigh of relief there.]

It might sound silly, but I don't think I have an answer to that yet. This has been such a big adjustment, you know? I do think the Pokemon are wonderful, and I like that there's so much to explore! But... It's still really overwhelming.

[ He nods in understanding. ] Yes, it is a lot to process all at once. Well, if you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to ask.

…I can’t promise I’ll be too much help, since I’m still learning about this world myself. But I’ll do what I can.
