It says "be fri"

Well, after one hell of a Spring Break, maybe the summer between sophomore and junior year would be a little normal. Maybe. That seemed like a lot to ask when Fabian was one of the Bad Kids-- A group consisting of an arch-demon, the Elven Oracle (who served as Oracle to All), a saint, and one secret agent interning for the heavens.

And maybe Fabian ought to feel about not being any of the above (and there were times it got to him) but he was in good company there with Gorgug, and he was learning to be happy with offering support to his friends and not being in center of everything. Like today, when he was getting back to sword training with The Ball.

There was a lot Fabian was learning, about what made family and who he wanted to be, about accepting himself, and about friendship and openness with feelings. Those last things were why Fabian had lowered his sword and stepped back. Or well, those last things and the glint from something that was around The Ball's neck, apparently having come loose from being tucked beneath his shirt.

It was the gold one Fabian had lent The Ball a year ago, what had become his training clothes along with a matching pair of pants - ones that had a slit cut in the back for a goblin tail - because The Ball had no idea how to dress properly for this sort of thing. Wearing a necklace during training might have also qualified as improper gear, really, but Fabian wasn't thinking about that just now.

The other half of that necklace, he knew, was meant for him. And while once Fabian would've been mortified to accept it, after all Fabian has learned about himself, after everything they've gone through, (and after all the times he'd thought The Ball was gone for good), that was not longer the case.

So Fabian just stopped the mock fight to grin at Riz. There was a bit of smugness to the expression but that was just Fabian's smile. ...And also a bit him being unsure of how to do this in full sincerity, now that he knew he wanted his half of that "best friends" charm necklace.

"Hey. Hey, The Ball."
